One of the most important values ​​to take into account in our CISNEROS PLAZA is the construction typology, we must bear in mind that the buildings located in Ciutat Vella have a very high level of protection, this means that practically all the constructions of buildings in the Historic Center must undergo REHABILITATION works and therefore its structure and foundations remain in the building as they were built more than a century ago.

 

In our case, given the steps taken, a construction has been defined with the structure completely from zero, maintaining the facades and the palatial character of the property with them without being able to derive constructive pathologies from hidden defects.

 

After demolishing the old floors, the archaeological excavation has been carried out until reaching the necessary height for a contemporary construction. Once the prospection and favorable archaeological report had been completed, the foundation of the building was proceeded with using a micro-piling system, which consists of drilling up to fifteen meters deep, thus saving the most unstable layers of ground until a firm base is found. This system gives the building a base formed by nothing more and nothing less than the aforementioned sixty columns at a depth of fifteen meters.

 

On this resistant foundation the structure of the building is born that will conform up to six levels in height, with a reinforced concrete structure executed to give the greatest monolithism to the whole.

In this way, it will mean a solid building, without structural problems of fissures or cracks, so common in rehabilitation works located in this environment.
